Treating Frostbite On Hand

This video shows a man receiving treatment for the severe frostbite on his fingers. They appear to be trying to drain the fluid by piercing each finger with a needle, probably to help relieve the pressure/swelling of the skin. Frostbite occurs when the skin is exposed to extreme cold for too long. It should be taken very seriously, because if left untreated it can result in gangrene. Gangrene is death of the body tissue, which can lead to amputation of the affected area. If you believe that you are suffering from frostbite, please seek medical attention immediately!
