A steatocystoma is a benign cyst that begins in the skin’s sebaceous glands, which normally produce an oily substance called sebum that lubricates the skin and hair. Steatocystoma multiplex is a skin disorder characterized by the development of multiple steatocystomas, and steatocystoma simplex is the solitary counterpart to steatocystoma multiplex. In today’s clip, Dr. Sandra Lee discusses this condition and shows examples.
