Squamous Cell Carcinoma

Today’s post comes to us via Dr. Praveen Choudhary, who works at a hospital in India. This particular patient is suffering from an extreme case of squamous cell carcinoma, a type of skin cancer. In squamous cell carcinoma, abnormal cells in the skin’s outer layer begin to grow uncontrollably. SCCs often look like scaly red patches, open sores, or warts. Crusting and bleeding may occur. If you notice any abnormal growths on your skin, please seek medical attention as soon as possible. Early treatment could mean the difference between life and death.
