A skin tag is a small flap of tissue that hangs off the skin by a connecting stalk. It’s also known as an acrochordon. They usually develop in folds of skin where friction occurs. They are harmless, but may become irritated from rubbing against clothing. In today’s clip, Dr. John Gilmore excises one from a male patient.
