Cancerous ovarian cell tumors start from 3 common cell types: surface epithelium (cells covering the outer lining of the ovaries), germ cells (cells that are destined to form eggs), and stromal cells (cells that release hormones and connect the different structures of the ovaries). In today’s clip, we hear the story of one woman’s massive ovarian tumor removal surgery, and we also get to see an ovarian tumor being dissected.
