It’s Tick Squeezin’ Season!

Today’s clip features the removal of a dead tick from the neck of a patient named Jan. The procedure is being performed by Dr. Mark Vaughan of the Auburn Medical Group. Ticks are small arachnids that feed on the blood of other animals, including humans. They can transmit a number of serious illnesses, such as Lyme disease and Rocky Mountain spotted fever. If you have been bitten by a tick and are experiencing any symptoms such as a rash, headache, nausea, weakness, or fever, please seek immediate medical attention.
