Eye Stye Drainage Procedure

A stye (also sty or hordeolum) is an inflamed oil gland along the upper or lower lash line, or sometimes under your eyelid. They will usually disappear on their own after a few days, but sometimes they may require a little medical intervention to help along the healing process. Such is the case in today’s video. This patient has a very large one that has been there for several days, so Dr. Mark Vaughan is going to perform a drainage procedure. Although fascinating and educational to watch, viewer discretion is advised.
