Cheeky DPOW Removal

First I’d like to say hello again and apologize for my long absence. But I’m back now, so let’s get down to business! Today’s clip shows the removal of a DPOW (dilated pore of Winer) from a patient’s cheek area. DPOWs are single, large open comedones/blackheads that occur when dead skin cells get trapped and clog up the pore. This entrapment also widens the pore, giving it that unusually prominent appearance. Although benign, they are unsightly and may be removed by a medical professional (as seen here).
