Today’s clip features the removal of a navel stone, which is kind of like a blackhead in the belly button. The proper name for it is “omphalolith”, which is a blend of the Greek words for “navel” and “stone”. They’re made from dead skin cells and sebum, and the black color is due to oxygen exposure. They are most often the result of poor hygiene practices. As always, viewer discretion is advised!
